This year has been incredibly challenging for animal shelters across the country. With adoptions slowing and heartbreaking cases of abandonment and cruelty on the rise, our furry friends need us more than ever.

That’s why Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is participating in the Shelter Showdown—a tail-wagging, heartwarming fundraising competition! Shelters from playoff cities are going head-to-head to see who can raise the most funds to provide love, care, and second chances for animals in need.

Since 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue has been working to save shelter dogs and cats from certain euthanasia across the rural south and as far away as Puerto Rico and Hawaii. We are a volunteer-powered, 501c3 organization, and since our founding we have saved more than 30,400 dogs and cats from overcrowded, underfunded rural shelters.
