Attending Dogs Must Be Comfortable in an Off-Leash Dog Park Setting & Must Be Current on Vaccines. Retractable Leashes are Prohibited.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue was established in 2009 to rescue abandoned and at-risk dogs and cats in high kill shelters around the country. These animals are saved from shelters where they face certain euthanasia brought up to DC to be adopted. Because Lucky Dog has no facility of its own, all animals stay with foster families or boarding partners until they are adopted. In 2018 Lucky Dog rescued over 1,900 animals, and this year, with your help we will rescue over 2,000.
Lucky Dog is a volunteer-powered, 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of strayed and abandoned animals. Since 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue has rescued over 13,000 Lucky Dogs and Cats -- this has been made possible through our sponsors, donors, volunteers, fosters, and adopters.
