General Info:
FLPP arranges for shipping and handling, and insurance. The fees will vary according to the buyer's needs, will be arranged directly through me. Local pick-up is available too.
“Medium/Support” and “Dry Pigment” refers to a proprietary technique I developed that I call “Dry Pigment Impasto”. The materials are 100% archival.
“Support” refers to the paper I use for the dry pigment. The paper is a heavy-weight Italian printmaking paper from a mill that has been making paper since the 1400’s. It is called “Fabriano Pescia”. It is a robin’s-egg blue with a smooth-rolled surface, perfect for my semi-solid, semi-wet dry pigment techniques. The paper is 100% archival.
”Framed” indicates a piece that is currently residing in a frame. I use ash and poplar wood milled specifically to my frame profiles and specs. After the pieces are chopped and mitred, I color the frames with custom color techniques. The resulting finish is keenly unlike commercial-grade molding. Archival mats and mounts are used as well.
Extra photos of the framing are available to see if it’s compatible. If the framing does not suit the buyer, the artwork can be easily removed. Should the buyer be interested in the artwork with its frame, FLPP will need to recoup all costs for the framing.
“Size” is provided in cm. Thinking about Lucky Dog’s global reach, it should be noted that numerous FLPP portraits have homes around the world, the most recent being Chile.
“LD #” (Lucky Dog #) should be on your website for us both to reference bilaterally. The LD # applies to both the “Commission” type/format/medium, etc., and the “Direct Sales” selection of originals. As well sell the originals, we will add new numbers, not reuse #’s.
“Original Series #” is for our reference only.
Please be aware that there is a large quantity of original paintings and drawings available for sale. As a preliminary offering, a wide price range might help us to assess the market.
Commission types are varied, as the notes for each indicate different mediums and supports, life-size body, life-sized heads, etc.
